Darla holds a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education from Millersville University (Millersville, PA) and a Master's Degree in Interdisciplinary Arts (SUNY Brockport).
She has prepared choruses to sing with Irish Tenor Ronan Tynan (Canandaigua, NY), The Chieftains (Rochester, NY), the Roberts Wesleyan College/Community Orchestra (Chili, NY), the Brockport Symphony (Brockport, NY), and the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra (Rochester, NY).
Darla trained choruses to sing at Radio City Music Hall (New York, NY), the Statue of Liberty (New York, NY), the Lincoln Memorial Plaza (Washington, DC), the National Cathedral (Washington, DC), Arlington National Cemetery (Washington, DC), Madison Square Garden, (New York, NY), the Notre Dame Basilica (Montreal, Canada), and on Waikiki Beach (Honolulu, HI) and has conducted choruses to sing for Secretary of State General Colin Powell, General Tommy Franks, and Secretary of State Madeleine Albright.
Her teaching career includes classes in Piano, AP Music Theory, Guitar, Voice and Chorus in public schools, and legions of students in both Piano and Voice in her private studio.

Her church work includes serving as a church organist and choir director in two United Methodists churches over the course of twenty-eight years.
Darla currently directs the Silver Singers SATB chorus in Lititz, PA, and Here Comes Treble SSA chorus in Willow Street, PA, and all Music For Everyone Choruses in Lancaster, PA.
In addition to her Music training, she is also a seminary-trained ordained Interfaith Elder.
